Strolling through the city on a hunt for museums

Hello everyone! How has it been a month since my last post? Time flies when you're having fun!

The last few weeks I've mostly enjoyed the weather here in Spain, 30° love it! It's the perfect beach weather and great for walking around the cities, so that's what I've been doing. I also took the time to go to a couple of art museums in Valencia. These are my favorites.

The first one I visited was IVAM, Institut Valencia d'Art Modern. It was not a very big museum, but it had many exhibitions in different styles. My favourites were Being an artist by Julio González and Open creations and its enemies by Asger Jorn. They both end in the coming months, but I'm sure the next exhibitions will be great too! The museum's permanent collection showcases the history of Valencia.

The second museum I visited was CCCC, Centro del Carmen de Culture Contemporánea. I liked this museum even more! The exhibitions were great, but the location was the best. It was quite small, but the garden more than made up for that. The exhibition Amor a primera tinta by Marina Puche was my favourite. The artist's father and grandfather are both designers in the Fallas and you could clearly see that in the artworks. Etcétera! by Cristina de Middel was also worth a visit. Unfortunately, these exhibitions too will end soon.

If you are ever in Valencia and have some extra time, definitely visit these museums. The fact that they are free only makes it better!

Hallo iedereen! Hoe is het al een maand geleden sinds mijn laatste bericht? De tijd vliegt als je plezier hebt!

De laatste weken heb ik vooral genoten van het weer hier in Spanje, 30° love it! Het is het perfecte strand-weer en geweldig om door de steden te wandelen, dus dat heb ik gedaan. Ik heb ook de tijd genomen om naar een paar kunstmusea in Valencia te gaan. Dit waren mijn favorieten.

Het IVAM, Institut Valencia d'Art Modern was de eerste die ik bezocht. Het was niet zo'n groot museum, maar het had veel tentoonstellingen in verschillende stijlen. Mijn favorieten waren Being an artist van Julio González en Open creations and its enemies van Asger Jorn. Ze lopen allebei af in de komende maanden, maar ik weet zeker dat de volgende tentoonstellingen ook geweldig zullen zijn! De permanente collectie van het museum laat de geschiedenis van Valencia zien.

Het tweede museum was het CCCC, Centro del Carmen de Culture Contemporánea. Dit museum vond ik nog leuker! De tentoonstellingen waren geweldig, maar de locatie was het beste. Het was nogal klein, maar de tuin maakte dat ruimschoots goed. De tentoonstelling Amor a primera tinta van Marina Puche was mijn favoriet. De vader en grootvader van de kunstenares zijn beiden ontwerpers in de Fallas en dat zag je duidelijk terug in de kunstwerken. Ook Etcétera! van Cristina de Middel was een bezoek waard. Helaas eindigen ook deze tentoonstellingen binnenkort.

Als je ooit in Valencia bent en je hebt wat extra tijd, ga dan zeker naar deze musea. Het feit dat ze gratis zijn maakt het alleen maar beter!
